Workflow for Other Design Applications

If third party plant applications are used for electrical equipment placement (PDS, Smart Plant&ldots;) users can export the Excel file with the equipment IDs and (X,Y,Z) coordinates from the plant applications and import them in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management.

Use the Equipment Import from Excel option to import the Excel file.
As result all equipment with IDs will be auto placed in the Bentley Raceway and Cable Management at locations defined by X,Y.Z coordinates
Next, perform a standard cable list import followed by an equipment map import. For detailed steps please see cable Import and Equipment mapping sections in the OpenPlant workflow detailed above.
Raceway design is typically next step but it could be performed in parallel with equipment import or even before that.
